From November 25, 2013 to December 8, 2013 we will be accepting applications for the Winter 2014 semester. If you were not in the WAYN Radio organization for the Fall 2013 semester you must turn in a resume and a show proposal for your application.
What is a show proposal?
The show proposal does not have a set format but needs to be detailed enough so we can fully understand your desired program. Include what type of format(sports, talk, music) , target audience, promotion methods and a layout of what topics, questions or guests you could possibly cover on your show.
Do I need a cover letter?
Though the cover letter is not mandatory, a cover letter can give more insight on your experience and add a personal touch to your application. If you have never written a cover letter this is also a good opportunity to practice. Here at WAYN Radio we receive dozens of applications and including a cover letter provides more information about you and helps students stand out.
Look at our program schedule and review what we already offer. Think of a unique program that you don’t see on our schedule and incorporate your interests.
After the deadline we will review all of the applications and contact selected applicants for an in studio interview. If the interview goes well we will contact you about your acceptance into the organization and will email you with further information.
